Online Learning is as productive and possible as classroom learning

I hold B.Sc Honours in Economics and Mathematics and PGCE in Mathematics from University of Gloucestershire. Following 10 years of successful secondary Mathematics teaching in the UK and overseas schools to 11-19 years old, I started Maths tutoring in 2014 alongside my teaching. I am an examiner with Edexcel and OCR since 2004 for both GCSE and A-level . I have also marked KS 2 and 3 SATS for many years and have had the opportunity of writing Functional Skills exam papers. New pupils receive a free 20-minute consultation with their parents so I can understand their needs and goals and tailor specific lesson plans to achieve them. I conduct online lessons on zoom and use interactive applications of Online Tutor in my lessons. I use electronic personalized note books for each of my tutees that can be accessed outside the online learning sessions

TUTORING EXPERIENCE:

I have considerable tutoring experience, having tutored over 100 students of varying ability over the past eight years. I establish rapport quickly and the students feel very comfortable and at ease with my presence. Students feel the true benefits of my lessons just after 1-2 lessons. I have an organised approach and treat each child with the patience they deserve. I tutor students of all abilities. I have taken students who were Grade 2 on their GCSE and finished the year with grade 7. Another example is I took a students at Grade 3 in GCSE who got grade 8 at the end of his GCSE and continued for A-level Maths and achieved Grade A. I have successfully used Zoom for online lessons since 2019 and have tutored students in the UK, UAE and USA. I enjoy using my ability to reason and I try to pass on an appreciation for reasoning to the people that I am giving tuition to.
